Araceli is a poet, a published author, and the founder of Midwest Mujeres, an organization dedicated to combating the isolation of Latinas in the Midwest through storytelling.

She is also a trained contemplative circle keeper, which means she uses writing to explore her creative lineage, incorporating social and emotional learning techniques, as well as mindfulness and meditation.
